It’s not a Full Moon without my live readings on YouTube or a holiday without my email drowning in shopping deals. These are just a few ways that brands keep communication circulating to their customers. Brilliant marketing is telling a story, being interesting, or entertaining. Am I going to get something from opening this email? Will I laugh at this IG reel?

Top 5 Ways to Market Your Brand in 2021

Best Ways To Market

The most common attention-consuming form of marketing is through videos. People love watching videos and getting the complete experience. There are over a billion people who watched YouTube today alone!

Tutorials, educational, inspirational, or maybe gamer channels are only a small portion of the various options available.

If you are building your brand, I strongly encourage you to start your own YouTube Channel or even go live a few times a year. You can go live on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and more. People love connecting brands to faces and hearing about your brand through video.

Without further due, I checked through various resources, while Tumblr almost made it to my top 5, Forbes agreed that TikTok might take us all by storm this year. Below are the finalists.

The Top 5 Social Media Platforms in 2021:

  1. Instagram
  2. YouTube
  3. Facebook
  4. Twitter
  5. TikTok

Content Strategy And Creation

The email has now become a part of the social media refresh regime. Meaning, if you aren’t already, it’s time to get your brand in the mailbox rotation. 92% of adults use their email, and 61% check it every day. There are many platforms you can use to begin sending messages and building your email list!

Do you have a favorite podcast that you listen to frequently? Podcasts are also a great way to share brand messaging and commentary. There are many platforms available to start sharing your brand through audio! Also, in addition to the clubhouse app that’s been conversed about often this last few weeks, apps like Twitter are pushing to incorporate audio features.

When you finish completing a client project or sell a product, make sure to get a review. People love hearing feedback from other customers to know if they’ll be satisfied as well. Many customers are eager to give their opinion, but a great way to gain more reviews is to offer something in return. For example, leave a review and get 50% off your next order over $100.

It all comes down to creating content. You can do this by starting conversations, giving information, or something engaging like the former. Having a successful business means having successful relationships, which require caring, consistent communication.

Different Mediums Same Agenda

Don’t become discouraged when thinking about how much content is floating around every day. A lot of content is out there, but that doesn’t mean that your content is unnecessary. The sooner you realize how unique your brand is, the sooner you expand. There will be brands and companies alike, but none of them will ever be you.

There are many platforms like YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok. It’s currently a media candy store with a lot of options to look through. Some people encourage focusing on one or two platforms until you get good at them, then expanding to more sites. Some people dive all in, and some realize they only need one platform to do all of the talking for them.

There are many paths you can take in order to build more communication with your target audience(TA). The most important thing to remember is what your brand stands for and whether your messaging demonstrates that.

I have a system everytime I post new YouTube videos:

  1. Upload it.
  2. Create a thumbnail picture.
  3. Create a caption.
  4. Condense the video to a smaller clip (about 60 seconds or less).
  5. Copy the caption and post it to Instagram.
  6. Copy the caption and post it to Facebook.
  7. Copy the caption and send it via email.

A lot of times, a single message can go a long way! I encourage you to have fun and be creative when curating content for your brand. Your brands messaging plays a huge role in your success and in building authentic relationships with your TA. Also, remember that with each social platform, there are rules of rhetoric! I tailor my content to each social platform in a way that speaks to their site and users. Working with a freelance copywriter can help build content messaging quickly and effectively.
